BHUMIKA IN 'KALAVAADIYA POZHUTHUGAL'

Actress Bhumika is willing to act in films even though she got married. At present the actress is acting in a Tamil film named Kalavaadiya Pozhuthugal, directed by Thangar Bachchan, which has Prabhu Deva and Prakash Raj in lead roles. And also she pairs with Prakash Raj in a Telugu film.

AARTHI & GANESH TO GET MARRIED...

Comedy Actor Ganesh and Actress Aarthi to get married at Guruvaayur on 23 october. The marriage is to be held in the presence of their parents. And the reception will held at Accord Hotel of T. nagar on 25th october. Ganesh had acted in films such as Karimedu Karuvaayan, Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal and Aarthi has acted in baby roles in films such as En thangai Kalyani, Thendral Sudum, Chatriyan. Both of them are acting now in small screens.

MEGHNA TO GET MARRIED

Actress Meghna Naidu will marry her boyfriend Gushal Punjabi on February 2010, which is said by Meghna in presence of her family members, relatives and close friends. The ceremony held in Mumbai at a Five Star hotel. Her debut film in tamil industry is Saravana which is directed by K. S. Ravikumar.

DOCTORATE FOR MOHANLAL

Sri Sankara Charya Sanskri University has decided to give the honorable Doctorate to Actor Mohanlal and to Rasul Pookutty. This was decided by the University on Tuesday in Syndicate meeting, for their Contribution to the Cinema Industry.

The climax of the film Endhiran is getting furious. The climax is that the lab of Rajini is in fire, which the Superstar fight in between the fire. The shooting took place in Prasad Studio. The fight is for only 4 minutes. The 85% of the film has been completed which was told by Superstar in the audio release of Eeram.

JAGGUBAI AUDIO RELEASE

Super hero Sarath Kumar's 'Jaggubhai' Audio will be released on September 27, which will be released by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. Karunanidhi. The function will be at Anna Arivalayam. The Film is directed by K. S. Ravikumar, and Sarath Kumar and Shreya acts in lead roles. In the film Shreya acts as the daughter of Sarath Kumar.

According some sources, Director Susi Ganesan's next big-budget project might be with A.G.S Productions, who produced 'Thirutu Payalae'. The director has also received a advance of huge amount for the project. But the director maintains silence about the hero and heroine of the film. But Some sources which are close to him, said that the director is thinking about doing the project with Vijay as hero.

SALMAN IN 30 SHORT FILMS

SK Enterprises of Boney Kapoor productions has brought out 30 short films based on several social issues. The films will carry social awareness messages such as drugs, helping old people, crime demolition, addiction and other issues in the society. And the special news is, Salman Khan will be featuring in all these films.

Salman’s openhanded stories have always caught on the headlines, but the actor has never published this. And most of the people know only the bad-side of Salman Khan, but only a few people know that the he is not like that in reality. Some sources close to Salman said that Salman Khan does a lot for children, slum children, orphans and for the handicaped, but he is a kind of guy who doesn’t like to speak about these good things. Salman quietly does his bit for society, but unfortunately, he is known as formal proof more as the ‘Bad boy of Bollywood’ and than applauded as Mr. Nice Guy!.

By these 30 short films, Salam will emerge as a kind-hearted saviour here-on. These 30 short films will go on-air consecutively seven days before the release of his ‘Wanted’. The movie is set for September 18th release. It's said that all the marketing for the movie will be in a way to help ‘Being Human’- which was Salman’s new charity concern.

ACTOR BHARATH ESCAPES FROM HELICOPTER CRASH

Actor Bharath has just escaped from a helicopter crash. As he was enjoying his holiday in the US past month had escaped an accident by luck.

When asked about the incident, Bharath says, “Anyone who visits US will feel that it’s an unforgettable tour, but for me it was really haunting this time. The helicopter ride in California is very famous and this time I enjoyed that ride. Having a look at the scenic beauty of the place for half an hour is really a memorable experience. On the day of the accident I along with my friends took the ride and had a view of California from above 1000 feet. Everything was fine with the helicopter till we got down, and then the vehicle was boarded with the next group of tourists. The vehicle was up in the air just for few minutes before it crashed unexpectedly! I can never forget that accident in my life and we all escaped it luckily.”

ROJA BACK TO BIG SCREEN

Roja will soon be seen in the upcoming flim ‘Sambo Siva Sambo’ which is the remake of the Tamil hit ‘Naadodigal’ which was directed by Samuthirkani.

At present, the shooting is going on Ahobilam and the Actress is expected to spend fifteen days for the shooting. She is playing the role of Home Minister in this film. Ravi Teja, Allari Naresh and Siva Balaji are the heroes.

SIMBU TO DANCE FOR A TRACK

S J Surya’s ’Newtonin Moondram Vidhi’ doesn't do well in the Tamil Box office. At present, S.J. Surya is busy in directing ‘Puli’ in Tollywood.

The movie has Pavan Kalyan and Nikitha Patel are in the lead roles. The movie is a action packed love story. Some sources says that the director is thinking to insert a Tamil song in ‘Puli’. So, S.J. Surya had approached Silambarasan to dance for the track.

SUN PICTURES TAKES 'VETTAIKAARAN'

The deal is on as the biggest titans have joined hands together for this Diwali. The fans of Ilayathalapathy Vijay can look out for something special from Vijay as his previous couple of films didn’t witness so much success as anticipated.

It has been officially confirmed that Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaaran’ has been acquired by Sun Pictures. Produced by AVM, the film is directed by debutant Babu Sivan, once an associate of Dharani. The film has Anushka in lead role and Vijay Antony’s musical score is set to emblazon the floors high with fever.

WALT DISNEY TO BUY MARVEL

Entertainment major Walt Disney company will acquire Marvel Entertainment, Well known for comics of super heroes, for an estimated $4 billion in a cash and stock deal. Walt Disney said that based on the closing price of its stock on August 28, The transaction was valued of $50 per Marvel Share. "This transaction combines Marvel's strong global brand and world-renowned library of characters included Iron Man, Spider-Man, X-Men, Captain America, Fantastic 4 and Thor with Disney's creative Skills." Walt Disney's president and Chief Executive officer Robert A. Iger Said.
Under the Deal, Disney would acquire ownership of Marve including its more than 5,000 characters.

After the deal is sealed, shareholders of Marvel will receive $30 per share in cash with 0.745 Disney shares for every Marvel Share.

PRIYAMANI AS 'SOORPANAKHA'

The upcoming flick ‘Raavan’ featuring Abhishek, Aishwarya Rai, Vikram in lead roles fast on heels on completion.

Finding an actress for the role of ‘Soorpanakha’ turned to be a speculative task for Mani Ratnam. Most of the leading actresses in Bollywood refused the offer to act as 'Soorpanakha' . Finally, ‘National Award Winner’ Priyamani who was preferred for Tamil, had to be picked for the Hindi version as well.

According to the sources, the characterization of ‘Soorpanakha’ has powerful conspicuous all throughout the film. Per chance, the actresses who refused this role may regret for having missed the deal.

SEARCH FOR 'MAAMIYAR'

Nemichand Jhabak has to produce his next project titled ‘Mappillai’, which will be directed by Suraaj, which was Superstar’s yesteryear blockbuster ‘Mappillai’ is remade with his son-in-law Dhanush in the lead.

As all know the director is on a hunting ride, to rope in a talented actress as Dhanush’s onscreen mom-in-law. The original version had late actress Srividya playing the character of the villainy mom-in-law. After trying his luck with Kushboo, Nadhiya, Vijayashanthi, Tabu and Simran, at last Suraaj approached Anu Haasan. The actress also accepted to act but under one condition- Anu wanted her costumes to be modern! Suraaj was not happy about that and he continued his search.

Without any other go the director has knocked the door of our South Indian ever-young beauty Sridevi for the role. The actress was 'ok' about doing the role but she asked a fee of 80 lakhs excluding taxes. So, if we calculated the amount including taxes, it comes to a figure of 1crore and 10 lakhs. This big pay made the director to find his way out of her door. The latest buzz in the air is on Suraaj asking his assistants about casting Sripriya or Jayapradha.
